Pre-Ballet (Ages 3-5)

This is a perfect age to enter the wonderful world of dance! Develop coordination, rhythm, and basic ballet positions in a fun and gentle introduction to dance. Ballet shoes and leotard are required.

Music and Movement (Ages 2-4)

Explore rhythm, tempo, and basic timing in this class! This is an introductory class that uses simple actions and dance movements with on focus on child friend music

Square Dancing (Ages 16+)

Art Labs: Artist Choice (Ages 10-15)

Drawing, mixed media, painting, and sculpture are mediums you can explore through observation and creation. Join teaching artists as you navigate the world of art, after all earth is not earth without ART!

Ceramics Date Night! (Ages 16+)

Enjoy a special evening with your special someone as you do a one-time workshop exploring clay together. All couples welcome.

Cinderella at Theatre in the Park

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the classic musical. This contemporary take on the classic tale features Rodgers & Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Impossible/It's Possible” and “Ten Minutes Ago,” alongside a hilarious and romantic libretto by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane as well as some new characters, and surprising twists. Originally presented on television in 1957 starring Julie Andrews, Rodgers & Hammerstein's CINDERELLA was twice re-made, first in 1965 for Lesley Ann Warren and then again in 1997 featuring Brandy and Whitney Houston. The original Broadway production opened in 2013 and starred Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana, Victoria Clark and Harriet Harris.

Friday Night Nature Programs (All Ages) - Wildlife Webs

Bring the family to the NEW outdoor amphitheater at Ernie Miller Park on Friday evenings this summer for entertainment and educational experiences. For more information, call (913) 826-2800. Each program is approximately 45 minutes to one hour in length and begins at 7 pm. In case of inclement weather, including extreme heat, program will be held indoors.

S’mores Family Geocaching

Search for hidden caches using our GPS devices. Enjoy dinner and s`mores. This fun event is $13 for individuals, $14 nonresidents; $33 for a family up to 4 people, $36 nonresidents; or $43 for a family up to 7 people, $47 nonresidents.

History Geek Camp

Young historians will love digging into the past in this unique week-long camp! Explore areas of the museum off limits to the public and take on the role of a curator to create a display for the museum. We will travel to Lanesfield Historic Site for more fun! Camp Details: * Camp fees include all materials and field trip fees. * All camps require a water bottle daily. * Children must bring a sack lunch and 2 snacks each day.
