Pre-Ballet (Ages 3-5)

This is a perfect age to enter the wonderful world of dance! Develop coordination, rhythm, and basic ballet positions in a fun and gentle introduction to dance. Ballet shoes and leotard are required.

Music and Movement (Ages 2-4)

Explore rhythm, tempo, and basic timing in this class! This is an introductory class that uses simple actions and dance movements with on focus on child friend music

Square Dancing (Ages 16+)

Overnight Fishing at Lexington Lake Park

Grab your fishing pole and lantern for an overnight fishing opportunity at one of JCPRD’s newest parks! The park will be open for fishing only and park police officers will be on duty throughout the night. Before fishing, anglers ages 16-74 will need to have a valid Kansas fishing license, JCPRD fishing permits, and all appropriate boat tags, if applicable. Shawnee Mission Triathlon & Duathlon

The Shawnee Mission Triathlon and Duathlon occurs in Shawnee Mission Park and takes athletes throughout the most visited park in the state that serves as a 1,665-acre urban refuge. Additionally, the course joins the Mill Creek Streamway Trail offering asphalt pathways snaking along the stream and through hillside forests. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
