Come explore wild areas, find long forgotten trails, and learn the secrets of survival. We will go canoeing, fishing, participate in team building and zip line at the challenge course at TimberRidge Adventure Center. Participants will need to bring a backpack with a nutritious sack lunch, water bottle, and comfortable all-weather clothing. The last day of camp we will have a cook out. Spring Break Adventures Camp will meet every morning at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. Programmed activities will begin at 9 am and conclude at 4 pm. For the convenience of working parents, supervision will be provided from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Activities may vary due to weather conditions. Parents will receive a letter describing camp activities, a supply list, and a medical form which must be completed and returned one week prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 13 campers. Take an adventure this spring break at Ernie Miller Nature Center. Meet critters big and small, hike in the fresh spring air, and create nature treats with newly found friends. Activities begin at 9 am and continue until 4 pm. For the convenience of working parents, supervision will be provided from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm daily. Children should bring a nutritious sack lunch, reusable water bottle, and drink. We provide a morning and afternoon snack. Parents will receive a letter describing camp activities, a supply list, and a medical form which must be completed and returned one week prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 20 campers. Visit the habitats of Ernie Miller Park as the sun sets and the animals of the night explore the darkness on a guided hike. See live animals and biofacts up close indoors before our trek outside through the park. Bring a flashlight or lantern and dare yourself to turn off the light for a portion of our walk. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Waterproof shoes are recommended for rain or mud.
Advanced Registration Required.
Everyone attending, including adults must register and pay.

Looking for an opportunity to earn a badge for your Junior Girl Scouts? We can help! Join us at TimberRidge Adventure Center as a Junior to complete your Space Science Investigator Badge! Badge must be provided by Troops. Dress for the weather and learn outdoors. Please bring a flashlight and a blanket to sit on. Minimum one paid adult per five paid children. We will provide a prepackaged snack. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions prior to the event. Program starts at 8 pm and ends at 9:30pm. Come have fun when school is out! Discover history through hands-on activities and exploration of KidScape and museum exhibits, play games, and enjoy down time. Bring a lunch, snacks, and water bottle and dress for the weather - we will go outside if we can. We are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, but you may drop off and pick up at any time. 5 year old children can be enrolled if currently attending kindergarten. For program questions call the museum (913) 715-2570. *We require all participants to complete personal information forms for each child that we will keep for the school year. You will receive an email after registration with the form.*
