Clay provides an opportunity for problem-solving and creative thinking while making art. Teaching artists will design the class based on your interests and needs including hand building and thrown ceramics.

Music, movement, and imagination!!! Join the nature center staff as we act out stories with animal and yoga moves. These parent and child experiences are designed to encourage creativity, coordination, and enhance awareness of the natural world. All children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Program held indoors. Advanced registration required Advanced Registration Required. 1 - 30 min. program - $2 per person; including adults. Everyone attending, including adults must register and pay. Children under 1 years old must register, but will not be charged.

“Frosty the Snowman”- Everyone’s favorite snowman was born in 1950 as the subject of a record, and soon after appeared in many forms, including a Little Golden Book! Preschoolers love stories from long ago, read by a special guest from the 1950s All-Electric House! Craft activity included after the story ends. Pre-register by calling (913) 831-3359 or purchase ticket at the front desk on the day of the event if space is available.
