Art Labs: SpyCRAFT (Ages 10-15)

Get ready to become a master spy! Explore spycraft and make spy devices like de-coder disks, learn to write secret messages in invisible ink and more. Design, logic, science and making will all be part of this camp. *The last day of camp, 12/24, will end at noon.

Winter Theatre Academy: Beauty and the Beast JR

FULL - Ernie Miller Winter Break Camp (ages 6-12)

Cozy up at the nature center for winter break! We will do activities and experiments inside and out! Dress for the weather and learn about survival and animal adaptations in a winter wonderland. For the convenience of working parents, supervision will be provided from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Scheduled activities are from 9 am - 4 pm. Children will need a lunch and water bottle each day. Snacks served daily. A camper data sheet will be required for attendees and will be emailed prior to the start date of camp. Camp fees are nonrefundable. TRAC Winter Camp - Wildlife Watching & Tracking (Age 11-15)

This hands-on camp will teach you the science of animal tracking, fire starting, archery and campfire cooking in addition to awakening ancestral traditions. Be aware that this is an outdoor skills camp — nearly all activities will be conducted outside in potentially inclement weather, so please dress appropriately. Instruction provided by wildlife biologist Jess Rice and certified animal trapper Jeff Fouquet, who possess years of outdoor education experience between them. Children should bring a lunch and reusable water bottle. Camp will meet and pick up every day from Ernie Miller Nature Center. A medical form must be completed and returned one week prior to camp. Enrollment is limited to 14 campers. For more information call (913) 856-8849. Camp fees are non-refundable. For the convenience of working parents who need it, included supervision will be provided from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Kids' Day Out

Come have fun when school is out! Discover history through hands-on activities and exploration of KidScape and museum exhibits, play games, and enjoy down time. Bring a lunch, snacks, and water bottle and dress for the weather - we will go outside if we can. We are open from 8:00am to 4:30 pm, but you may drop off and pick up at any time. 5 year old children can be enrolled if currently attending kindergarten. For program questions call the museum (913) 715-2570. *We require all participants to complete personal information forms for each child that we will keep for the school year. You will receive an email after registration with the form.*
