    Hitchcock’s films and personality loomed large beginning in the 1930s with The Thirty-Nine Steps and continued beyond the 1960s with his television shows and movie masterpieces. Johnson County Park & Recreation District, in partnership with The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Kansas are pleased to bring you a collection of courses designed for adult learners. Select from the opportunities below to create your own program of personal development. No homework. No tests. No pressure. It’s just learning for the joy of it. Classes take place over three consecutive weeks.

    Your Little Critter will enjoy two hours of fun and education on the first Thursday each month as you enjoy some personal time! Activities will vary but we will have a snack, make a craft, play games, and see an animal visitor each day. Children must be potty trained. Preregistration required.     Get moving at the nature park! Combine the positive effects of being outdoors as we explore, hike and try yoga along the trails. A short animal presentation after every session.     “You’re the next contestant, come on down!” Join in on this silly rendition of television game shows. Everyone gets a chance to play. Refreshments will be served. Please register in advance, space is limited. This fun event is $10 per person, $11 nonresidents. Cost of admission covers food and staff time to administer the game show program. No additional charge for games.
