Cars in the Park 2018-10-20T10:00:00Shine up your car, truck, motorcycle, or specialty vehicle for the annual Cars in the Park car show! Admission is free for spectators, and food concessions will be available. There will be a 50/50 pot and raffle, silent auction, a DJ, and more! If you are a vendor or would like information on sponsorship opportunities, please call Jodie at (913) 826-3027. Proceeds from this event go to benefit JCPRD Special Olympics programs so that athletes may afford to participate in many different activities. Car show participants can register today at www.jcprd.com, click on the “Register for Activities” button and do a barcode search for 40292. Each entry is $20 in advance, $25 day of the show.

Enjoy the outdoors by scheduling your group for a hayride through Oak Ridge Parklands in Shawnee Mission Park. Our hayrides conclude with a warm campfire where marshmallows and apple cider await. The one-hour hayride and one-hour campfire are just $7 per person, and groups will need to reach an $80 minimum for their ride. Haunted Kansas 2018-10-20T18:30:00As darkness falls, walk through the trails of Ernie Miller Park and listen to the stories of long ago. Characters from the past will share legends around the campfire. Expect a shiver down the spine and a mild case of goose bumps for those who dare enter the forest on this autumn evening. Group sessions begin every 15 minutes and program is approximately an hour and a half. This is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately. Advance registration is required. In case of inclement weather, program will be held indoors. This program is recommended for ages 8 and up, and all children must be accompanied by Parent/Guardian or one adult chaperone per group of 5. For more information, call (913) 826-2800.
