This program from Dr. Carmaletta Williams, Director of the Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City, Mo, reveals that newly emancipated African Americans after the Civil War, while free in Kansas, were not necessarily welcome. Ages 21 and up. Program includes snacks and beer.
