Click your heels three times and find yourself in Wamego, Kan. Start off the day at the historic Columbian Theatre, home to an exhibition of rare paintings from the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Experience a guided tour of what has been touted as, “an unforgettable jewel on the Kansas prairie”. Keep your eye out for flying monkeys, as we find ourselves at the Oz Museum. Over 2000 items are on exhibit from the beloved film, The Wizard of Oz. From there, head to 4th and Elm Bar and Grill for lunch. Enjoy fresh baked goods at The Friendship House bakery on our way over to our final stop of the day, The Prairie Museum and Village. Listen to a brief overview of this mid-1800s history and replica museum, before embarking on a self-guided tour of the museum. Make sure to take a walk across the street to view the Veteran’s Memorial, “The Wall of the Fallen”, stroll through the tulip lined City Park, and enjoy a photo-op in front of the famous Dutch Mill.
