Woodland Tales with Father Christmas (All Ages)

For all ages, but all children must be accompanied by an adult. Children and adults must both register for spot(s) and pay. NEW! The holiday season is a time of joy, love, and togetherness. "Tales of Father Christmas" embraces the true spirit of this magical season, fostering a sense of community, goodwill, and a love of nature. See wildlife and share smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments with your loved ones as you listen to stories together. Take a photo with a woodsy Santa Claus and bring a canned food item to help those in need. Children and families will enjoy a sweet treat after their visit. For more information call 913-826-2800. Yoga: Rise and Shine Yoga – Wednesdays 12/6 - 12/27 (ages 16+)

Start your day with an invigorating yoga practice at Ernie Miller Nature Center. This is yoga for anybody. All are welcome, no experience necessary! This class will focus on gentle stretching, serenity, and rejuvenation and will be tailored to individual abilities. Please bring your mat to class. Winter Solstice Celebration (All Ages)

Take a break from the busy holiday festivities as we walk through the woods along Little Cedar Creek to witness the natural display of winter’s quiet time. The trails will be lit by luminaries. Warm up by the fireside and listen to stories about the longest night of the year. Visit live owls and discover animal mysteries of survival during the long winter. Gather round for a campfire treat of toasted marshmallows. Please note: This program will be outdoors. Please dress for the weather. In case of inclement weather, program may be held indoors or cancelled. Advance reservations required. Program fee is nonrefundable. Event may fill in advance. Animal Tales: Preschool Storytime - Visit from Santa

Join a park naturalist for animal stories and surprises geared for preschool age children. Come listen and learn. Meet a special animal friend every time.
