Inclement Weather and Building Closure Updates

New Century Fieldhouse is Johnson County’s and JCPRD’s premier indoor sports and multi-use facility. The fieldhouse features a large indoor turf field that can be utilized for a variety of field sports and activities. The fieldhouse has over 40,000 sq. ft. of court space that can be setup in a variety of configurations including 8 volleyball courts, 4 basketball Courts, 4 futsal courts, and even pickleball courts. We also offer a variety of recreational sports leagues throughout the year. The fieldhouse features a large multi-purpose room and 4 party rooms for meetings, parties and other special events. The New Century Fieldhouse is here for all your tournament, recreational, and practice needs year-round.

Programs and Activities

In addition to providing home field and home court advantages to a variety of youth and adult sports leagues, the New Century Fieldhouse also offers a wide assortment of programs, activities and clinics for all ages and interests. We offer fitness and health, arts and crafts, walking, and of course adult and youth leagues and youth camps and clinics.

50 Plus Programming (see link below for monthly listing)

Pickleball drop-in play is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. ($4 fee, per player). Please note: our pickleball drop-in play is for those patrons that are 50 and older (no one under age 18). Those coming in to play and not yet 50 may be asked to forfeit their spot if we have a patron 50 or older that wants to participate in pickleball.

Community walking is available Monday - Friday, ONLY 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on the soccer field. You must check-in at the front desk. Children accompanying those walking have to walk with the adult -- no playing or running around the facility, field or courts.

**No walking available on Friday, March 31 and Friday, April 28**

Community walking available times can change without notice due to additional rentals/activities added, maintenance needs or facility closures due to the weather.

50 Plus drop-in card and game groups at New Century Fieldhouse are listed below. Individuals wishing to participate in the card and game groups do not need to register in advance. Payment is not required until game day. ($1 fee, per player).

Mah Jongg – Tuesdays, 1 p.m.

Pitch – Wednesdays, 1 p.m. (no games on third Wednesday of each month)

Hand and Foot – Thursdays, 1 p.m.

Crochet and Knitting - Thursdays, 4 p.m.

Mexican Train Dominoes – Fridays, 1 p.m. -- No dominoes on March 31

New Century Fieldhouse 50 Plus Activities

50 Plus Programming - Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program

This self-paced exercise program has started back up at New Century Fieldhouse! The class is held on Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:15 - 11:15 a.m. Pay $3 at the door. This is great for those needing a little extra support while performing strengthening and range of motion exercises.

**Update: Due to the instructor's family illness the Exercise Program will be postponed until June.**

Open Gym - Not Available

Due to the heavy volume of rentals, we are unable to offer Open Gym at this time. Please check back with us in the summer!

When we can offer Open Gym, the fees are $5.00 per person. Open Gym participants under the age of 13 cannot participate without an adult present in the building. No drop-offs are allowed.

Those older than age 13 need to fill out a waiver form and have it on file with our office. Please click Waiver Form to fill out the form and have it sent electronically to our facility.

Indoor Play Park - Ages Walkers to 5 years old - $3 per participant

This preschool activity is being offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 - 11:30 a.m. This activity is specifically geared for children up to five years old. This is a great time for parents to socialize with other parents while their children play. You can pay each time you visit ($3 per child) or you can purchase a punch card at our facility. Punch cards are 10 visits for $25.

Indoor Play Park is offered through April 27, 2023.

**No Indoor Play Park available if the Gardner School District is closed due to inclement weather.**

Fieldhouse, Room and Court Rentals

The New Century Fieldhouse offers a wide assortment of rental options such as a large multi-purpose room that can be reserved for meetings and special occasions. Patrons are welcome to rent and reserve court space for basketball, volleyball, soccer and pickleball. For information about fields, courts, and room rentals, please contact our office.
