Arthur and Betty Verhaeghe Park
With its delightful farm-themed playground, this 11 acre park serves as an access point for the Coffee Creek Streamway Trail. The land for the park was donated by Arthur and Betty Verhaeghe of Overland Park.

Community Garden
We are proud to announce the unveiling of the first community garden initiative within JCPRD! Thanks to a generous donation from the Verhaeghe family, the Arthur & Betty Verhaeghe Park Community Gardens opened in 2022. Longtime residents and farmers of Johnson County, the Verhaeghes are excited to pass on the pride associated with their nearly 100-year tradition of growing one’s own vegetables. There are eight garden plots available and interested individuals living within a 10-mile radius of the park may apply online.
Apply for a plot - Plots are available on a first come first serve basis.
