The Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center will be hosting a series of four swim clinics for adults during the month of March. The goal of these clinics is to help adult swimmers improve stroke technique and teach drills that will enable the continued refinement of the skills. Each clinic will focus on a different aspect of swimming so participants can choose which clinics they would like to attend. All clinics will be 7:30 - 8:30 pm and take place in the Instructional Pool. Limited space is available for these clinics and participants must pre-register for each clinic. 3/3: Flip Turns & Open Turn Clinic
Learn or improve your flip turn and open turn technique during this clinic. With proper turns, participants can achieve stronger push offs the walls and maintain continuous swims.

3/10: Backstroke Clinic
Work towards proper backstroke technique through the use of drills to gain confidence while swimming on your back.
Register by Tuesday, March 9th @ 12:00 pm.
3/22: Open Water Swim Clinic
Gain confidence in open water swimming by learning proper drills to prepare for open water swimming. Breathing, stroke technique, pre-race and race day preparation will all be incorporated into this clinic. .
Register by Sunday, March 21st @ 12:00 pm.
3/29: Freestyle Clinic
Learn tips in breathing, proper body position, speed and kick through numerous drills during this freestyle clinic.
Register by Sunday, March 29th @ 12:00 pm.
Cost
$10.00 for each clinic.
If participant has a SMSD Aquatic Center membership with the Masters add on, the clinics are included in membership. Members must still pre-register for the clinics.
