Here's a sampling of programs JCPRD has coming up for the week of June 20-26: 

June 21 - Youth Group Swim Lessons (Prairie Village Pool, 7710 Delmar, Prairie Village, 6 classes in six levels beginning; Ages 6 months to 12 years; times, class durations, and costs vary) - Lesson levels include: Preschool A, Preschool B, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4. Most levels are assigned based on skill level rather than age. See descriptions of swim levels, or use our Swim Level Assessment Form. Search and register for Group Swim Lessons

June 21 - Yoga: Yoga (Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Ages 14 & older, Mondays, 6-6:50 p.m., 5 sessions, $40 per person, $44 nonresidents) - This low-intensity program can improve circulation; regulate your metabolism, increase flexibility, and coordination. Lengthen your muscles while increasing both bone and muscle density. Activity number 9725.

June 21-25  - Art Labs: eARTh (Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, Ages 10-15, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m., 5 sessions, $175 per person, $192 nonresidents) - Drawing, mixed media, painting, and sculpture are mediums you can explore through observation and creation. Join teaching artists as you navigate the world of art, after all earth is not earth without ART! Students will draw, paint, and build sculpture based on the classic RRR's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. This Art Lab will incorporate natural elements as students consider the impact of their very own carbon footprint. This program includes all art supplies. Participants must bring a sack lunch, water bottle, and snacks each day. Activity number 8660.

June 22 - Games: Virtual Scattergories (Virtual Program, Ages 50 Plus, 10 to 11 a.m., FREE) - Think fast and write quicker in this fun and fast-paced game of alliterative words and categories! Activity number 9917.

June 23 - Fitness: Mommy & Me Yoga (Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Wednesdays 9:30 to 10:20 a.m., Ages 18 & older, 6 sessions, $40 per person, $44 nonresidents) - This yoga class is an opportunity for moms to connect with their little ones through song, movement, breath and foundational exercises. The class is informal, relaxed, and focused on the bond between mom and baby. No prior yoga experience is required. Activity number 9722.

June 23 - Fitness: Preschool Yoga (Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Ages 3-5, Wednesdays 10:30 to 11 a.m., 6 sessions, $24 per person, $26 nonresidents) - This dynamic class will positively engage children's bodies and minds. Basic yoga poses and beginning breath work will be taught. Class themes are tailored to students' interests, whether that be an imaginary trip to the circus or world travel! Music, games, and movement are incorporated to exercise physical abilities, foster coordination, build confidence and encourage teamwork. Activity number 9743.

June 25 - Performing Group Vocal: The Side By Side Experience (Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, Fridays, 12:30-2:30 p.m., Ages 50 Plus, 12 sessions, $14 per person, $15 nonresidents) - Looking for a way to sing and enjoy music with other performance lovers? This group of easy-going singers and piano players welcomes you to have fun with music regardless of your skill level. We offer weekly rehearsals with performances throughout the community during the month. Activity number 9598.
