Learn to deal with grief during the holidays during free new program on Dec. 1


If the holidays seem daunting, stressful, and lonely because you’re grieving, a free new virtual program being offered for all ages by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District might be able to help.

This program is called Grieving Loss During the Holidays and will be presented by Clara Sainte, a program director with Gilda's Club Kansas City, who will provide information about grief as it specifically relates to the holiday season. This is a chance to meet virtually with others who are grieving. This will involve learning, listening, and sharing. This program will benefit any adult who is grieving the loss of a loved one.

To find this program online at, browse first under 50 Plus and then under enrichment and special interests. When using the website’s advanced search, look for the keywords “special interest.” 

Grieving Loss During the Holidays will take place beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1. This one-hour program is free, but registration is required.
