Co-ed Ninja Training Camp gymnastics program for ages 6-12 begins Oct. 23

Two hours of ninja fun are in store for children enrolled in a gymnastics program being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District in late October. Physical distancing and COVID-19 safe practices will be observed during this program.

The program is called Ninja Training Camp and is for ages six to 12. No matter their skill level, everyone can have a blast learning to be ninjas! Training will emphasize improving strength and agility through obstacle challenges and conditioning. To find this program online at, browse first under youth and then under gymnastics. When using the advanced search at, look for the keyword “gymnastics.”

Ninja Training will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Dr., Shawnee. The cost for one one-and-one-half-hour session is $25 for Johnson County residents or $27.50 for nonresidents. For more information or to register by phone, call (913) 831-3359.
