Upcoming travel opportunities being offered by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District will be previewed during two sessions of an in-person travel show in late October. Physical distancing and COVID-19 safe practices will be encouraged during these programs.
The travel shows, which will take place at 10 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village. Both sessions will cover the same trips, which include: Highlights of Norway, Pacific Northwest, Shades of Ireland, Spain and Morocco, and South Africa. During these free events, participants will meet 50 Plus travel professionals while previewing the scheduled destinations and beautiful vacation spots. Learn about the benefits of choosing to travel with JCPRD and see photos of our past travel experiences. Brochures and itineraries are available to help you choose where you want to go on your first trip, your tenth trip, or your 50th trip! Attendees at the in-person events are eligible for door prizes and Travel Show booking incentives.
While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at (913) 826-2975 for space availability.
