Boys and girls can discover how fun and easy it is to decorate a beautiful cake during a class being offered in early April by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
Cake Decorating 101 is the name of this program for ages eight to 13. Participants will learn decorating techniques needed to create great-looking cakes for birthdays or any occasion. Topics to be covered include the basics of coloring icing, decorating techniques, and using appropriate tools. Young cooks will get to take home their masterpiece and wow the family! All supplies are included.

Cake Decorating 101 will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the Roeland Park Community Center, Center, located 4850 Rosewood Dr., Roeland Park. The cost for one two-hour session is $38 per person for Johnson County residents or $42 per person for nonresidents or register online at www.jcprd.com.
