From camping to fishing to bingo to Juneteenth, June offerings include something for everyone

Posted on June 1, 2022 at 12:02 PM by Becky Burnside

Temperatures have warmed up, the grass is green, and leaves are out, making June a great time to get outdoors again.

Whether you want to take part in a new festival celebrating parks and the arts, spend some family time participating in activities ranging from geocaching and enjoying s’mores to playing bingo, camping, or observing Juneteenth as our newest national holiday, or doing some free or overnight fishing, JCPRD has a June event for you!

Events marked below with a blue asterisk (*) require preregistration, while the other listings welcome walk-ins.

While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for ages 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus program are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at 913-826-2975 for space availability.
