April is when the world starts to come alive again after its long winter sleep. It’s also a great time for special events, and JCPRD has a number of them planned for all ages this April.

April events include: a 50 Plus Easter Egg Hunt, Egg Hunt Geocache, The Bunny Hop, 50 Plus Bunny Hop, Outdoor Discovery Skills for Woman, 50s & 60s Music Bingo, TimberRidge Adventure Center Open House, TimberRidge Hawks Nest Climbing Tower Open House; and Mildale Farm Community Day. Most of these programs require advance registration.

While JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for ages 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend. Persons 18 and older who are interested in a 50 Plus class are invited to call the 50 Plus Department at 913-826-3030 for space availability.

• Outdoor Discovery Skills for Woman (Ages 13 with an Adult and 18 & Older), TimberRidge Adventure Center

• 50s & 60s Music Bingo (Ages 50 Plus), Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse (full with waiting list) 

Saturday, April 30

• TimberRidge Adventure Center Open House (All Ages) 
• TimberRidge Hawks Nest Climbing Tower Open House (Ages 12 & Older with Registration)
