Let us take the worry out of driving and planning as you enjoy a full day of entertainment, education, and fun.  Prices for daytrips include tickets, admission, guided tours, meals (unless noted), tips, transportation, and a tour escort.  Trips depart from Antioch Park in the lower level of the north parking lot.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time for motorcoach boarding.

Cancellation Policy:  Pre-paid ticket costs and a $5 processing fee will be deducted from cancellation refunds. Within seven days of trip, cancellations are non-refundable.  

Day Trip: Follow the Yellow Brick Road
We’re off to see…Wamego! Experience a guided tour of the Columbian Theatre. See rare paintings from the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Next, marvel at the Oz Museum while exploring over 2000 items on exhibit from the movie. After lunch, enjoy wine tasting and shopping at the Oz Winery.

Day Trip: Weston - Handpicked in the Heartland
Travel to Weston, Mo. Tour Green Dirt Creamery and Farm as well as enjoy a cheese tasting. After lunch, visit Weston Orchard and Vineyard for a tour of the grounds, apple picking, and delicious cider and donuts.

Day Trip: Excelsior Springs- Textile to Mercantile 
Travel to Excelsior Springs to learn how this woolen mill from the 1800s operated and processed wool, spun yarn, and wove cloth. Enjoy a walking tour of the Watkins family home, mill, and museum. After lunch, tour the Hall of Waters. Please note there will be substantial walking on gravel pathways for this tour.

Day Trip: Joplin- 20th Century Innovations on Route 66 
The early- to mid-20th century was full of brilliant minds and innovations, including the development of Route 66. Travel to Joplin, Mo. to see Thomas Hart Benton’s last signed large-scale work, visit the Mineral Museum to hear about the city’s mining history, and tour the George Washington Carver Museum and National Monument.

Day Trip: Hiawatha- Once Upon a Time in Hiawatha 
Step back in time at the Brown County Museum and take a guided tour of the military room, bridal gown hall, auditorium and medical room. Social Outings

Hit the town on a social outing to discover a new city, a boutique, restaurant, or local event.  Meal costs are on your own, and transportation will be in district vehicles.  Outings depart from Antioch Park.

Social Outing: Sunken Treasures
Take a self-guided tour of the Steamboat Arabia Museum and learn about the contents and recovery of this time-capsule from the mid-19th century. See objects that made life possible for pioneers in the 1800s. After lunch at Opera House, walk the market square to shop at Dutch Flowers and the Planters Seed and Spice Company.

Social Outing: Lone Jack Military & Mercantile 
Spend the morning at themed boutiques that once served as homes and outbuildings. Listen to the owner talk about its historical past before getting a jumpstart on your holiday shopping. After lunch, tour the Fort Osage National Historic Landmark.
