Educational Programs for Preschoolers

Our JCPRD Park Police Officers and Ernie Miller Nature Center Naturalists teach a variety of fun environmental education programs for preschoolers.

  • Designed for preschoolers ages 3 - 5 years of age
  • Programs are approx. 30 minutes
  • Program maximum is 20 students. 
  • Special arrangements for classes up to 25, with a $2 charge per additional child
  • Availability is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Programs with live animals can be conducted in Kansas only.

Holiday Cheer for Our Little Ones

Yes! Santa will make a special visit to spread holiday cheer to you and all of your friends and family! On his visit, Santa will either share a Christmas story about a mouse, or he will talk about the winter habits of his furry and feathered friends. Either way, jolly ol’ St. Nic will help preschoolers construct a craft and will listen to each child’s Christmas wishes. Each visit is a fun holiday experience for all!

  • $49 consecutive programs, resident
  • $54 consecutive programs, non-resident.

  • $49 per program, resident
  • $54 per program, non-resident
