The Museum offers a variety of programs each month to engage adult audiences to learn more about Johnson County and regional history.  Check the museum calendar for upcoming program themes and dates.

Solve the mystery of the missing school marm at this new escape-room style adventure, and learn a little local history on your journey! This. This program is at Lanesfield Historic Site and  is best for ages 10+.  Someone in your group must be 18 or older. Program fee is $50 for 2 people, $20 per person for 3-8 people. Behind Scenes Tour promoBehind-the-Scenes Museum Tour. Ever wonder what and why we collect?  Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the Johnson County Museum’s collections at the new Arts & Heritage Center! Led by museum staff, visitors will learn  about our local community from museum collections, which feature over 20,000 3D objects and over one million photographic images.  The museum’s two-dimensional collection, including manuscript collections, maps, photographs, and quilts, is housed at the new Arts & Heritage Center.  Call 913-715-2570 or email to make a reservation (minimum of 10 people). Tour lasts approximately one hour.  Great private tour for your Scout and fraternal group too! 

Program fee is $10 adults, $9 seniors, $8 children (1-17) for non-members. Museum member fee is $4.
