Course Options

Triathlon - Olympic Course

1,500-meter swim | 27-mile bike | 6.07-mile run

  • The swim is an out and back starting at the beach and ending at the boat ramp
  • Participants have the option of a mass start (50 per group) or a time trial start based on 500-meter pace time
  • The bike consists of 6 laps inside the park on a completely closed course - the course is hilly, so we highly recommend training
  • The run will take you on the paved trails within Shawnee Mission Park completing 3 loops of the run course with 4 aid stations

Triathlon - Long Course

1,000-meter swim | 18-mile bike | 4.67-mile run

  • The swim is an out and back starting at the beach and ending at the boat ramp
  • Participants have the option of a mass start (50 per group) or a time trial start based on 1,000-meter pace time
  • The bike consists of 4 laps inside the park on a completely closed course - the course is hilly, so we highly recommend training
  • The run will take you on the paved trails within Shawnee Mission Park completing 2 loops of the run course with 4 aid stations

Triathlon - Short Course

500-meter swim | 9-mile bike | 3.1-mile run

  • The swim is an out and back starting at the beach and ending at the boat ramp
  • Participants have the option of a mass start (50 per group) or a time trial start based on 500-meter pace time
  • The bike consists of 2 laps inside the park on a completely closed course - the course is hilly, so we highly recommend training
  • The run will take you on the paved trails within Shawnee Mission Park with 3 aid stations

Triathlon - Super Sprint Course

200-meter swim | 4.5-mile bike | 2.25-mile run

  • The swim is an out and back starting at the beach and ending at the boat ramp
  • The bike consists of 1 lap inside the park on a completely closed course - the course is hilly, so we highly recommend training
  • The run will take you on the paved trails within Shawnee Mission Park with 2 aid stations

Duathlon

3.1-mile run | 13.5-mile bike | 3.1-mile run

  • The Duathlon will start on the main park road just to the north of the transition area
  • The run will take you on the paved trails within Shawnee Mission Park with 3 aid stations. The first run will be counterclockwise and the second run will be the same course but run in a clockwise direction
  • The bike consists of 3 laps inside the park on a completely closed course - the course is hilly, so we highly recommend training
