Mid-America Sports Complex Improvements

In November of 2019, the JCPRD Parks and Recreation Board approved a six-year plan to fund improvements at Mid-America Sports Complex and Mid-America West Sports Complex. The master plan for Mid-America Sports Complex was developed by VSR Design, MHS, and Incite Design Studios.  It was presented to the Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners in May of 2020 and can be accessed here

2020-2021 Mid-America Sports Complex Improvements 

  • Fencing, backstops, dugouts, seating - completed June 2020
  • Fan Zone to include: event headquarters, concessions, restrooms, outdoor seating, batting tunnels, team camp,
    and playground
  • New LED lighting (12 fields)
  • Synthetic turf (4 fields)
  • Field and pathway lighting
  • Entry plaza/entry gate
  • Satellite concessions (fields 1-4) 
  • Satellite restrooms (fields 1-4)
