Theatre in the Park Master Class Series: Introduction to Stage Management

Students will explore the basic principles of stage management through a mixture of hands on activities and seminar discussions.  Using materials from past TIP productions students will create production paperwork, learn how to run production meetings, interact with staff and actors, prepare and run a rehearsal room, run technical rehearsals, run a backstage, and how to ‘call’ a performance.  By the end of the class students will have been introduced to the leadership and communication skills, practical skills, and responsibilities needed to pursue stage management in school or at Theatre in the Park!
