Race Day Is In...
The Johnson County
Park & Recreation District has always, and will
continue to, put the safety of our participants and
spectators at the highest priority.
Please know that in the wake of the senseless tragedy
at the Boston Marathon, our Park Police are working
cooperatively with other local law enforcement agencies
to develop and implement heightened security measures
at JCPRD events.
Heritage Park Duathlon
You talked and we listened! For a better part of 25 years Johnson
County Park & Recreation District has served athletes of various
disciplines at Heritage
Park. To bring a fresh start to the next 25 years, and to
serve a growing population of avid runners and duathletes, we
have added a new 5K and 10K course to the Heritage event. Future
information will outline this event as being a part of a regionally
significant Duathlon Series highlighting our partnership with
two other park and recreation agencies. The HP3 will allow athletes
to choose from a Duathlon, 5K or 10K event all starting at the
HP Marina parking lot.
Heritage Park Duathlon Course Information
The duathlon consists of a 3.1 mile run, followed by a 15.33 (4
