Whether you are an experienced camper or just looking for an activity to share with your family and friends, this is your opportunity to sleep under the stars in the safety of one of the most beautiful and spacious parks in Johnson County.

The Shawnee Mission Park Great American Campout
In addition to spending a night under the stars in Shawnee Mission Park, you will receive passes for admittance to Shawnee Mission Park Beach and Pedal Boat Rental. Also, you will receive tickets to The Theatre in the Park’s production of “Annie” for the June 26 & 27 campout and for those attending the July 31 & August 1 campout, you will receive tickets to our production of "Cinderella". And as a special bonus, you will receive early admittance to each show.

Benefiting New Horizon's Summer Camp
Along with the benefit of spending time with friends and family in the great outdoors, proceeds from this event will benefit JCPRD’s New Horizon Summer Camp. 2010 marks New Horizons 41st year serving the county’s special needs population for ages 6-18.

Campout Packet Pick-Up June 23 - Packet pick up will be between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Antioch Park Bldg. B. 6501 Antioch Rd., Merriam, KS or it can be picked up at the event. What To Bring To The Campout
Campers will need to bring their own camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, etc.). Saturday evening dinner will not be provided but community grills will be available and donuts, juice and milk will be provided Sunday morning.
