The Sunflower Nature Park located at 103rd St. and Edgerton Road near DeSoto, is a 60-acre naturalistic park featuring an accessible nature trail, picnic shelter and fishing pond. The game fields located on the west side of the park are operated by the City of DeSoto.

Please have your copy of the shelter reservation with you. If difficulties arise, contact a Park Police through the dispatcher at (913) 782-0720.

AMENITIES
  • 1 shelter with 6 tables, seating for 48 people
  • No electricity
  • Restroom near main entrance
  • No drinking fountain
  • 2 grills
  • No playground
  • Nature trail is one mile in length, guided nature
  • Walks for groups of 5 or more can be arranged by calling the
          Interpretive Office at 913-764-7759. ½ mile of trail is wheelchair accessible.
