Children Services Outdoor Summer Camps - Ages 3-13 years old
Johnson County Park and Recreation District is home to many different summer camps. Day camps are held in schools, parks and other community facilities. Camps are directed by highly qualified individuals who possess specialty certifications, and all camps are fully licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Each day offers a new variety of activities, including socialization, group games, sports, creative arts, special events, weekly swimming and field trips.

Please direct any questions to Outdoor Camp Coordinator Marisa Holloway at (913) 236-1233 or e-mail her at info@jcprd.com

These camps include Crossroad Camps & Summer Escapades.

SUMMER ESCAPADES CAMPS

Summer Escapades provide weekly activities including field trips, swimming, nature hikes, arts and crafts, team sports, group games, science, water play, and lots of outdoor free time to explore nature. Campers get traditional values, positive role models and character development that goes hand-in-hand with friendship.

CROSSROADS CAMPS
Crossroads is a great option to get your teenager out and about during the summer. Campers will be introduced to a variety of activities including swimming, field trips, community service, arts and crafts, nature activities, games, and team sports all while interacting with others of their own age.

Parent Camp Information
We are extremely excited to have your families participating in our outdoor summer camps. It will be a great summer filled with fun and excitement. Please read the policies and guidelines below carefully and completely. By doing so, you can begin summer camp feeling fully informed. As you read through the information, take time to jot down any questions you may have, and contact us now to receive clarification on those items. This will allow directors and their support staff to devote full attention to getting to know the children and establishing a daily routine, as summer camp gets underway.

Parents must complete and return all required forms, a minimum of two weeks before camp begins.
