|TimberRidge Adventure Center (TRAC) - Planning for the Future
During the summer of 2016, the Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) began updating the parks and facilities master plan for TimberRidge Adventure Center (TRAC). The process is anticipated to be complete during early 2017.
Planning team members conducted a market analysis and talked with Great American Family Campout participants in August. In September Focus group discussions were held with TRAC leadership, staff, and customers, followed by an Exploration Day where the public was invited to see the facility and comment on concept options for the master plan revision. The options were displayed again at the Mildale Farm Fest 2016 event for public comment and solicitation of input. The market findings and community events help to uncover the potential improvements that are important for TRAC's future. These potential improvements may include more team building opportunities, creating memorable experiences, and much more. Please share your thoughts and ideas with our planning team today via the links listed below! Comments received before November 17th, will be considered in the generation of the draft master plan. JCPRD's goal is to provide a preferred draft option for the master plan revisions to the JCPRD Board of Commissioners at the Regular Board Meeting scheduled for December 21, 2016.
