Current Project - Verhaeghe ParkThe Johnson County Park and Recreation District (JCPRD) is excited to announce the development of a new park along the Coffee Creek Streamway Trail. Located at 167th and Flint Street in Overland Park, KS, the new Verhaeghe Park will be a great addition to the JCPRD park system.
The Arthur and Betty Verhaeghe Park will cover approximately 42 acres and will serve as both a community park and an access point for the recently-opened Coffee Creek Streamway Park.
JCPRD's Coffee Creek Streamway provides beautiful trails and open spaces for such leisure pursuits as biking, jogging, picnicking, and nature hiking. JCPRD, along with The Clark Enersen Partners, are currently working to finalize the park’s design and development. Construction is expected to begin fall of 2018, with completion in summer 2019.
JCPRD anticipates future additions and upgrades to the property periodically. For more information, contact the JCPRD Planning and Development Manager, Cliff Middleton,at (913) 826-3425 or email: email@example.com.
