New Earth Day Celebration Program Offered For Ages 3-6 on April 30-May 4

Young children can celebrate Earth Day through a new program offered by Johnson County Park and Recreation District.

The workshop is called Earth Day Celebration and is for ages three though six. Participants will enjoy an hour of creating great projects out of recycled materials. Search for the keyword "art" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.

This one-session program will be offered six times at three locations between April 30 and May 4. Each location will have a 10 a.m. session and a 1 p.m. session. The program will take place at the Tomahawk Recreation Complex, 17501 Midland Drive, Shawnee, on Monday, April 30.

The program will be offered at the Overland Park Community Center, 6300 W. 87th St., Overland Park, on Wednesday, May 2. The final two programs will be offered at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roland Park, on Friday, May 4. The cost for one 60-minute session is $10 for Johnson County residents or $11 for nonresidents.
