|Portion of Mill Creek Streamway trail to be closed on July 16-19|
Trail improvement work on a 1.5-mile portion of the Gary L. Haller Trail in the Mill Creek Streamway Park originally planned for the second week of July has been pushed back by about a week, Johnson County Park & Recreation District officials said.
The project, which is expected to take about four days, is now scheduled for July 16 through 19and will involve a portion of the trail from the pedestrian bridge just north of the Prairie Star Parkway access point at 18459 Prairie Star Parkway, north to Lenexa’s Craig Crossing Park at 9145 Woodland Road. This portion of the trail will be closed for crack filling and seal coating. Trail users can bypass this by walking west on the sidewalk on Prairie Star Parkway and then north on the sidewalk on Woodland Drive.
This project is weather dependent and could be delayed in the case of inclement conditions.
