Watercolor Plein Air Painting Class Offered for Adults Starting June 22

Adults 16 and older can explore the relaxing and enjoyable hobby of watercolor painting through a class being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.

The class is called Watercolor Plein Air Painting. This beginning class will teach various brush stroke techniques, how to mix colors, and how to discover a personal style. Participants should bring a tubed set of watercolors; small, medium, and wide brushes; paper, mounting board; and masking tape. Search for the key word "painting" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities catalog and online listings.

Watercolor Landscape Painting in the Park will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday starting June 22 on the east side of Building A, Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam. The cost for four two-hour sessions is $52 for Johnson County residents or $57 for nonresidents.
