|Nature is Second Week's Theme for Discovery Art Camp Starting June 19|
Nature, Flowers and Landscapes is the theme of the second week of Discovery Art Camp being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District in late June.
For this program, young artists ages nine to 12 will get the chance to use the new paved trails in Antioch Park to discover new areas to draw and paint. Recent park improvements have added new bridges and planted areas which participants will capture with pencils, watercolors, and pastels in a plein air atmosphere. Search for the keyword "art" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
This camp is meant to encourage exploration of individual creativity through drawing, painting, sculpting and crafts.
