|New Heart Healthy Dinner Program Offered for Adults on June 15|
Adults can discover the wide variety of foods which are supportive of their heart's natural functions through a new program called Healthy Heart Dinner being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District and Whole Foods Market.
This program will be taught by Natural Food Chef and Whole Foods Market Marketing Director Rebecca Miller based on the philosophy that what we eat can significantly influence the health of our hearts. Participants will enjoy a heart healthy dinner and take home some healthy recipes and a list of health beneficial foods. Search for the keyword "cooking" to find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities Catalog and online listings.
This program will be offered at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 at the Whole Foods Market, 7401 W. 91st Street, Overland Park. The cost for one two-hour session is $20 per person for Johnson County residents or $22 per person for nonresidents. In addition, there is a supply fee of $10, payable to the instructor.
