|New Picnic for Dear Old Dad Program Offered for Ages 8-14 on June 13|
Just in time for Father's Day, youth ages eight to 14 can express their love by learning to prepare a picnic through a new class being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District and Whole Foods Market.
Picnic for Dear Old Dad is the name of the program. Natural Food Chef and Whole Foods Market Marketing Director Rebecca Miller will teach participants to make pigs in a blanket, ants on a stick, a fabulous fruit dessert, and other surprises. Young cooks will have fun while enjoying a meal and take home some healthy recipes. Search for the keyword "cooking" to find this program in the JCPRD’s Activities Catalog and online listings.
This program will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday on June 13 at the Whole Foods Market, 7401 W. 91st Street, Overland Park. The cost for one two-hour session is $20 per person for Johnson County residents or $22 per person for nonresidents. In addition, there is a supply fee of $10, payable to the instructor.
