|Sponsors and Volunteers Sought for June 17 Paws in the Park Event|
Dog-related businesses and organizations are invited to participate when the third annual Paws in the Park is presented in mid-June by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District and the City of Olathe. The event is an opportunity for one-on-one marketing of pet-related products to dog lovers of all ages.
The four-hour event will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, in the off-leash area located in the northeast section of Heritage Park, 16050 Pflumm, Olathe. The morning will include a variety of dog contests, talented dog demonstrations and rescue valley, an area dedicated to rescue groups. Dogs will also be available for adoption at the event. Each year has seen increases in the numbers of both pets and spectators and organizers expect this trend to continue. This year’s event will benefit the Sunflower Humane Society.
Booth spaces measuring 11 feet by 14 feet are available for $75 and vendors are also responsible for donating a door prize with a value of at least $25. Venders will be able to set up from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and can tear down between 1 and 2 p.m.
If you would like be involved by becoming a sponsor, a volunteer, a vendor, or the presenter of a dog demonstration please contact Chad Tower at (913) 236-1248.
