|Exercise Workshops to be Presented by NETA and Olathe 50 Plus on June 3 & 4|
Two nationally-recognized exercise workshops will be presented in early June by the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) in conjunction with Johnson County Park and Recreation District's Olathe 50 Plus program. The workshops will both take place at the Mill Creek Center, 311 East Park, Olathe.
A workshop on Group Fitness Certification is offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, and will cover basic academic and practical application of teaching group exercise. No college, science, or teaching background is required. The program includes a written exam and two-year certification and NETA membership. The cost for this full-day session is $259.
Also offered is a continuing education workshop on Fusion Fitness: Yoga & Pilates. This program will be presented from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. The goal of this program is to combine strength, balance, stability, agility, and endurance into a fabulous workout. Participants will receive hands-on training in traditional poses and exercises and learn how to fuse them together to create an exciting and exciting workout that will beat the boredom out of any studio. The cost for this half-day session is $79.
