|Pickleball Tournament is June 29 at Tomahawk Ridge Community Center|
June 21 is the deadline for the fourth annual Pickleball Tournament being presented by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District in conjunction with the city of Overland Park.
This event will take place beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell, Overland Park. Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton, and table tennis played on a court with two players per side who use a wiffleball and paddles. To enter, players must be 50 by the registration deadline. Divisional awards will be presented for men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. Another 50 Plus Pickleball tournament is scheduled for Aug. 17 at the New Century Fieldhouse near Gardner. The deadline for that tournament is Aug. 9.
