|Roeland Park Aquatic Center to be closed after 3 p.m. on June 13|
The Roeland Park Aquatic Center will close early on a Monday afternoon in mid-June in order to host a local swim meet, Johnson County Park & Recreation District officials announced.
The facility, which is located at 4843 Rosewood, Roeland Park, will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, for a swim meet hosted by the Stingrays Swim Team. Normal summer hours, which include lap swimming from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 9 p.m., as well as open swim hours from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, will resume the following day. The Stingrays, which are a summer team based at RPAC, compete within the Johnson County Swim and Dive League. Another afternoon closure for an additional Stingrays swim meet is anticipated on July 1.
