|50 Plus plans Bingo games on June 12 and 27|
Two themed bingo games at two locations are planned in June by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
Plants and Flowers is the theme for a bingo game which will take place beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell, Overland Park. The second program in June will have the theme Batter Up and will take place beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at the Mill Creek Activity Center, 6518 Vista Dr., Shawnee. Each event will feature about 12 games of bingo, as well as food, prizes, and fun.
The cost for each two-hour program is $5 per person for Johnson County residents or $6 for nonresidents. Advance registration is required. Please RVSP by calling one of our 50 plus centers at (913) 642-6410, (913) 826-2860, or (913) 826-3160.
Themes for other upcoming 50 Plus Bingo programs being planned include: July 4th Picnic on July 2 at New Century Fieldhouse; Juicy Watermelon on July 10 at Matt Ross Community Center; Ice Cream Sundae on July 25 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park; Pink Lemonade on Aug. 14 at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center; and Heat Wave on Aug. 22 at Matt Ross. Tomahawk Ridge Community Center is located at 11902 Lowell, Overland Park. The Roeland Park Community Center is located at 4850 Rosewood, Roeland Park.

While the JCPRD’s 50 Plus programs are primarily for people who are age 50 or older, interested parties who have not yet reached that magic age may still be able to attend.
