|New Grammy’s Gingerbread Ornament Program Offered on Dec. 21|
Grandparents can spend time with their grandchildren this holiday season building a gingerbread house ornament through a new intergenerational program being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.
The program is called Grammy’s Gingerbread House Ornament and is for children ages three to seven and a grandparent. Participants will build a creative gingerbread house ornament using graham crackers, frosting, and assorted candy. These ornaments will decorate your tree and create fond memories of time spent with your grandchild. The ornaments also make great gifts for parents, teachers, or special friends. Search for the keyword "holiday" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
This program will take place beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at the Blue Valley Recreation Center, 6545 W. 151st St., Stanley. This program will have a registration deadline of Dec. 14. The cost is $8 for each child and adult for one-90-minute session. An additional child may attend for $5 and there is a limit of two children per adult.
