|Storytelling Workshop for Adults Set For Nov. 19 At Ernie Miller Nature Center|
Opening the world of storytelling possibilities is the aim of a Second-Annual Storytelling Workshop being planned for adults at the Johnson County Park and Recreation District's Ernie Miller Nature Center, 909 N. Kansas-7 Highway, Olathe.
Anyone can become a storyteller! Participants will learn to reach out through the magic of stories and to tap into the amazing power of storytelling to educate, entertain, enlighten, and empower. Parents and teachers can explore the use of stories to preserve family history and to enhance school curriculums. This program will be facilitated by award-winning storyteller and Park Naturalist Molly Postlewait. This program will take place beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at the Ernie Miller Nature Center. The cost for one two-hour session is $20 for Johnson County residents or $22 for nonresidents. This includes handouts and a professionally-produced storytelling compact disk participants can use for further study and practice.
