|New Wonderful Week of Water Camp Begins July 12|
Water is the theme of a new summer camp program for youth being offered at Ernie Miller Park, 909 North Kansas 7 Highway, Olathe.
Wonderful Week of Water is the name of the program, which is for ages eight through 12. Participants will spend the week exploring various water resources through activities such as catching crawdads, using dipnets to discover pond critters, and taking a close look at microorganisms. There will also be canoe races, fishing, and fun with water balloons, water guns, and sand castles, as well as swimming at the beach, a pool, and a waterpark. Along the way, they'll learn about the water cycle and how to protect lakes, streams, and rivers.
Wonderful Week of Water will be offered Tuesday through Friday, July 12 through 15. Activities begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. The cost for four 7-hour sessions is $117 per child for Johnson County Residents or $129 for nonresidents.
