POSTED: 05/25/2005
Girls ages seven to nine can step back in history through an American Girl© Art Camp being offered by the Johnson County Park and Recreation District.

The American Girls Collection© involves engaging stories about girls living at important times in the past which bring history to life for grade-school girls. Campers will explore the past and discover what life was like during the times of these characters. Participants will visit the Nez Perce tribe to meet Kaya, travel to colonial days with Felicity, go to New Mexico to join Josefina and then to Civil War times with Addy. Along the way, campers will enjoy stories, craft projects, and other hands-on activities. Search for the keyword "art" to find this program in the JCPRD's Activities Catalog and online listings.
