JCPRD's Montgomery Honored by PGA Council

Johnson County Park and Recreation District Manager of Golf Operations Wayne Montgomery was recently recognized by the Professional Golf Association's (PGA) President's Council on Growing the Game.

According to a PGA statement, the President's Council on Growing the Game "identifies and recognizes PGA professionals who are committed to positively affecting the game by taking a leadership role in playing host to and reporting on adult player development programs at golf facilities nationwide. This merit of honor reinforces the value of a PGA professional's involvement and commitment to the goals on increasing rounds played and revenues at golf facilities."

Montgomery has been with the District since January of 1976 and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in physical education from the University of Kansas. His duties include oversight of operations at both of the JCPRD's public golf courses: Heritage Park Golf Course, 16445 Lackman Road, Olathe, and Tomahawk Hills Golf Course, 17501 Midland Drive, Shawnee. Montgomery is available for private golf lessons at Heritage Park Golf Course and can be reached at (913) 829-4653.
