|Next Animal Tales Storytime is July 28|
Two different storytelling programs for young children and their parents are will meet in mid-July at the Johnson County Park and Recreation District's Ernie Miller Nature Center in Olathe.
The programs are Storytelling: Animal Tales - Storytime at the Ernie Miller Nature Center, and Storytelling: Sunset Animal Tales. Both programs are for ages three to six with a parent or guardian. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The programs will feature stories, songs, and surprises.
Animal Tales is a daytime program presented inside the Ernie Miller Nature Center in which children can listen and learn and meet a new animal friend each session. The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. on every other Wednesday, including July 14 and 28.
In Storytelling: Sunset Animal Tales, park naturalists entertain participants and their families. This program will be presented at Ernie Miller Park's outdoor amphitheater nestled in the woods and will have as its backdrop the setting sun and the sounds of night in the forest. This program will take place beginning at 7 p.m. on July 16.
The cost for either 30-minute program is $1.50 per person (including adults) , payable at the event. Advance registrations are not necessary. The Ernie Miller Nature Center is located at 909 N. Kansas-7 Highway, Olathe. For more information, contact the Nature Center at (913) 764-7759.
