|Mavericks hockey game is destination for 50 Plus Social Outing on March 2|
Experience the excitement of a professional hockey game during a social outing being offered in early March by the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park & Recreation District.
This Mavericks Games Social Outing will take participants to the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, located near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Mo Highway 291 in Independence, Mo. In a game which will begin at 7:05 p.m., the Kansas City Mavericks will play the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Komets. The Kansas City Mavericks are in their ninth season as a professional hockey franchise serving the greater Kansas City metro area.

Participants will depart from Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch, Merriam, at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2, and return at approximately 11 p.m. that day.
